Better yet: make armors in Elona normal armors as the rest of the game. Allow insignias to drop everywhere to upgrade/replace what you originally had crafted on your armor, but nuke the insignia-purchasing-required system.

Let each campaign have a unique and specific approach in the armor.

I'd like to see an NPC, or an option on the NPC that made your armor, to convert your armor to have insignia slots.

That's nice until you realize that Tyrian armor is inferior to both Canthan and Elonian armor...

Tyrian armor is inferior hmm yeah err lmfao,
All my Tyrian charcters still have Tyrian armor and have made it through ch2 & ch3 just fine with NO need to upgrade armor.
Play smarter and not harder

If insignas were global, you could easily get +~50 armor globaly. You obviously don't know the meaning of balance.

Faux pas IMO. Read the OP please.
Insignia's being available across all chapters, I don't really care. What I care about is the fact that only Elonian headgear is inscribable. That means an Elonian character for example can have +10 armor vs. physical on his head in addition to the headgear's stats. Factions and Prophecies armors have no such modifiers, Elonian armor will always be superior stat-wise (no matter how minor) to armor from the other two chapters. So /signed.

Make armor insignias global, not just in Elona.
They started it in Factions, giving the ability to purchase a specific armor for it's appearance and choosing the type of armor.
They should change Canthan armor to exactly how it is done in Elona and do the same to all armor in Tyria.
|
No they should not, not until they implement an Insignia crafter who has infinite supply and sells all Insignia for 500g each. I'd rather not be forced to pay 13k for my Bloodstained Boots, thanks.

Make insigniable armor purchasable, just like FoW.

I want to be able to add insignias to my 15k cultist. I don't care how or at what cost. Just do something about it.

I think that right now, the armor is okay. Tyria has your standard, unchangeable armor that no one buys anymore. Cantha has armor that all looks the same and has different benefits. Elona now has armor that can be changed at anytime without having to pay another 60K. VERY balanced if you ask me. The armor in each continent is suppose to make people buy the next game, however this does not mean that the games are not "stand-alone" products. Who gives a shit if you want your Ascended Ascetic's 60K Armor to have +35 Health instead? NEWS FLASH: You're a Tyrian. You're old news. If you don't have enough money to buy the next 7 games, then you too are going the way of the dodo.

Like I said: right now, it's okay... But it would be nice to see this crap implemented someday.

At very least allow people who own all three chapters use them. As for those saying its unbalanced anyone with common sense would realise that by removing the previous stats and replacing them with insignia stats this would make it no different to any other armor.

As much as I would love to have this feature, it's just not meant to be in Prophecies and Factions. Because in both of those campaigns they have armor with the stats on them which can be considerably more expensive than the plain stuff. So if it were to be for all games lots of people would be getting the cheaper armor then buffing it with the runes.
ADDED:
Also I id read that you said we can CHOOSE our designs. But see, there are froogle people like me who would just get the cheapest and call it good.

Since you made that post I havent' understood what you ment, until about 10 mins ago.
From whta you're saying I assume you mean taking your current Tyrian armor and adding an insignia to it. That is NOT what I ment.
I mean, purchase 15K Platemail Armor for the appearance and only get the 80 armor with +20 armor vs physical. Not the additional +10 armor vs elemental.
You get your armor and then add the insignia just like in elona. It's just like what is in factions only simplifying it so that instead of having 5 different chest pieces in front of you to purchase, you have the one and add the insignia.
Any tyrian armor you already have on your character gets updated to show it HAS an insignia on it already. Of course if you're not happy with your Platemail having the +10 armor vs elemental and you want say, Gladiator armor stats, you add the Radiant Insignias to your armor and away you go. Naturally you would lose the +10 armor vs elemental when you do this.
It works for the same as adding stonefist gauntlets and the bloodstained boots and so on.
